Terms & Conditions of Standard Seminar/Conference Contract
1. Charges
1.1 The seminar/conference charges include the cost of providing course documentation, light refreshments and where appropriate lunch.
1.2 All charges are inclusive of VAT where appropriate.
1.3 The Organisers reserve the right to alter the charges from those published.
2. Booking
2.1 The Organisers will not accept a booking unless it has been authorised for payment.
2.2 When the Organisiers have accepted a booking, you are liable for the seminar/conference charges.
2.3 All payments must be made immediately without deduction or set off on receipt of the invoice. The invoice will be deemed to be received by you within 48 hours after the date on which the invoice is posted.
2.4 Confirmation of your booking will be sent by e-mail, or post. If you have not received confirmation of your booking within 48 hours of the seminar/conference you should telephone to confirm a place has been booked.
2.5 A booking on a booking form together with these terms and conditions constitute a legally binding contract between the Organisers and you, the delegate. The delegate and employer are jointly and severally liable for payment of all charges due to the Organisers.
2.6 If you make your reservation for the course by telephone, the Organisers will confirm your booking only after receiving a booking form that is authorised for payment. The organisers must receive the booking form within 2 working days from the date that you make your reservation to guarantee a place on the course.
3. Cancellation
3.1 If you want to cancel a booking and your place on the course is not taken by someone else from your organisation you must inform the Organisers in writing by e-mail or post using our standard cancellation form available on our website. For bookings cancelled 10 days or more (received by the Organisres by 5.30pm) before the date of the seminar/conference, The Organisers will refund the course charge less 40 per cent for administrative charges provided that the cancellation form gives 10 days or more days notice. For bookings cancelled less than 10 days before the date of the seminar, the full charge will be payable. Notice must be received by the Organisers by 5.30pm, failing which the 10 day period runs from the following day. You will be liable to pay the full charges if you fail to attend the seminar on the day, for any reason whatsoever.
3.2 If you want to send a substitute delegate you must give the Organisers at least 2 working days notice.
4. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither the Organisers nor its employees will be liable by reason of breach of contract, negligence or otherwise for any loss or consequential loss occasioned to any person acting or omitting to act or refraining from acting in reliance on the course documentation/handout or presentation of the course or, except to the extent that any such loss does not exceed the charge for the course arising from, or connected with, any error or omission in the course documentation or presentation of the course. Consequential loss shall be deemed to include, but is not limited to, any loss of profits or anticipated profits, damage to reputation or goodwill, loss of business or anticipated business, damages, costs, expenses incurred or payable to any third party or any other indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in this clause is deemed to exclude or limit the Organisers’ liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
5. Miscellaneous
5.1 The Organisers will make every effort not to do so but it reserves the right to vary or cancel a seminar/conference, materials or the details of a programme without notice. In the event that the organisers cancel a seminar/conference, its liability will be limited to refunding any charges paid for the particular seminar/conference or offering you a place on a similar seminar/conference and it will not be liable for any other loss incurred by you.
5.2 The Organises reserve the right to change the venue and or speakers at any time and without prior notice.
5.3 The Organisers do not accept any liability if, for whatever reasons, the seminar/conference does not take place and will not be liable for any loss incurred by you.
6. Special Needs
6.1 If you indicate on the booking form that you have any requirements due to a special need, or any other reason, the Organisers will contact you to discuss them.
